EMDR therapy can help you reprocess trauma, relationship wounds, emotional patterns, core beliefs, and deeply ingrained experiences that keep you feeling stuck. I work with young women navigating anxiety, attachment wounds, self-doubt, relationship struggles, and the lasting impact of overwhelming experiences.

EMDR Therapy Can Support:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and consistent worry
  • Trauma and painful past experiences that still feel present
  • Relationship patterns and attachment wounds
  • People-pleasing, perfectionism, and fear of disappointing others
  • Low self-worth or difficulty trusting yourself
  • Grief, loss, or difficult life transitions
  • Stressful or overwhelming experiences
  • Feeling stuck in the same emotional patterns

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a therapy approach that helps the brain and body reprocess distressing or overwhelming experiences, so they feel less intense and less activating over time.

When trauma, relationship wounds, or painful experiences are not fully processed, they can continue to show up as anxiety, emotional triggers, core beliefs, self-doubt, or recurring patterns in relationships. EMDR helps support the nervous system in reprocessing these experiences so you can feel more grounded in the present.

One way to think about EMDR is like taking a file that was stored in the wrong place and re-filing it more neatly. The memory does not disappear, but it may feel less emotionally charged. Trauma can include “big T” trauma, such as a single overwhelming or life-threatening event, and “little t” trauma, which can include repeated painful experiences that shape how you see yourself, others, and the world. Many people do not identify with the word trauma because they have not experienced one major traumatic event. But smaller, repeated experiences can still contribute to deeply ingrained core beliefs. Some I commonly see look like:

  • “I’m not good enough”
  • “I’m responsible for everyone else’s feelings”
  • “I can’t set boundaries”
  • “I have to please people to be accepted”
  • “I am a failure”
